Why does my baby get very upset when she's not in motion?

Our little girl is 51/2 months old and ever since she was newborn, she gets very upset to the point of wailing when she's not in motion. She even hates swings sometimes. It's not about being held because even when holding her, if I stand still for longer than 10 seconds she starts whining or sobbing.
