Why are all AIDS awareness ads on Michigan radio set to rap music?
Every time I hear an AIDS awareness commercial, like the "greater than" ads, it's always set to rap music, with obviously black people talking in the ad. Why aren't there any ads set to country music or rock music, or punk, etc etc? Young people need to be educated about AIDS, and kids listen to ALL kinds of music. It seems racist to target blacks with an ad like that. Do only black people get AIDS? Also, most kids in my school listen to country, rock, and punk/alternative music. And just FYI, these ads with the rap music are played constantly on the alternative radio and even the classic rock stations that we listen to.
